Warm up RUN

Hi!

First Run of the Year

Starting from the bottom!

Today I decided to go out for a run. The weather was 33°F, it was a little colder than I was expecting but that’s what you get when you decided to run in winter. Right!

I just ran 0.50 mi. I was feeling like I was slow like a turtle, then I check my pace I was running like my normal pace but in some point I was short of breath. Then I walk a little and started running again to finish with little distance for today run. I got a little frustrated but this is just the beginning. I know that sometimes is going to be harder, the thing that matter is not quitting.

This is my year I’M NOT Giving up!

Good Luck everyone with every goal that you make for this year! Don’t give up…!

Thanks for reading!

  • Strengthens the shoulder and arms, also the back muscles.
  • Stretch and strengthens the thighs, calves, and ankles.
  • This pose improves balance and concentration.

Note: Like a newbie I’m I forgot to breathe correctly; inhale through the nose and exhale through the mouth; I concentrate more in do the pose right.

I beat my pr (personal record)!

Hi!

I recently went for a run with my amore (husband). He is faster than me so I decide to start first and he wait a few minutes, then started. That was a good motivation to push hard to make the run a good one. We decided to run 4.00 miles but when we get to the point that we need to go back to get home there already was almost 3.50 miles. We ending doing almost 5.00 miles. I could eun more but this was my second time running that distance so I walked home like 0.50mi.

This happen on November 8, 2013.

My 5k time 34:57min

My 5.00 miles time 59:02min

It felt so good. When I’m running, It make me free. Is a good time with me. When I’m running I clear my mind of everything. My body response to my mind this is a amazing fact.

My Fourth 5k Event – Community 5k Run

Hi!

My fourth 5k event was on September 6, 2013. This event was at night with the people around my community. Was a great idea because I’m new in the neigborhood. I got to know more people that love the same passion that is RUN. This race was nice, I saw the families giving support around the route; was a great motivation. I went by myself, so that was nice to receive the animate from the people around; great impression. This was a fun run, I made it to the finish line in 38:36 min. To be by myself with no friend or family member around me was great. I usually run with my amore or friends when is relative with races.
The finish was nice. The event got better at the end; Free snacks, Free beer, Free gifts, music and a nice part was the bonfire.

This once again was a great experience, I loved it… I’m a little sad because it was the first time that the community make this event and for the next year I won’t be here to participate… But the life goes on, and you need to move on, to progress. The good thing is that I going to be in a new place to explore it RUNNING! Love it…

Thanks,

C.P.

My Third 5k event recap Aug 18,2013.

Hi!

I have been missing in action in the blog, I know… but here a recap for my third 5k event.

I heard about this event when I participated in my second 5k event. ( Link Here )

This event this time was in a park near the water and almost 500 people.

In the morning when I got up I ate a brownie protein bar that was awful, it tasted so bad, but I needed to eat something before the race. In the morning the weather was chill, so I decided to wear my running leggings also I bring my running jacket just in case. When I get there the sun was hitting so bad I was like ” Can I go back home and change my clothes, please!”. But that isn’t the case lol…

The race start at 7:20am, everything when well during this run, my knee hurt I little bit but it don’t bothered me to run.

My timing was 36:31min, I beat my pr = personal record. That was so great.

I remember at the finish line I was so tired that my two friends helped me to finish that was so awesome.

Thanks to the girls to keep me motivated from start to finish.

Thanks

Hi!

I participated in my very real first 5k event on July 20, 2013. The Event was the 5k Famous Racing Sausages Run/Walk in the midwest. Around 4,000 participants registered for this event. This was the event that I trained so hard and let me tell you, that was sucessful, I feel like I can not be more than greatful for my friends and my husband for motivated me to do it.

July 6, 2013. My first local fun run 5k event = Sucess!!!

Hi!

On July 6, 2013. for the first time I participated in a fun run 5k event. To start, We drove 3hrs to get there, somewhere in the Midwest. When we got there went to register because this 5k event wasn’t plan; also to get a towel, the t-shirt and the number. The race start at 10:00am I was so excited for this experience; everything start at the beginning I felt I was going very fast then my breathing was a little bit harder so I reduce my pace to ran in a comfort one. Everything went fine; I finished it in 42:00min. The weather wasn’t the best, was very hot almost 90 degrees.

Was a great experience… I’m so happy to down done one of my goals.

Thanks

July 02, 2013. Running in the drizzle.

Hi!

I ran 3.13 miles non-stopping in 39:51 minutes with 12’43″/mi avg pace. I ran in the middle of the drizzle that was fun. This run included: Pavement, sidewalk, stair, grass, a hill, and beach view. Was a great run, it feel so awesome changing the area. I like the fresh air in the area, see a new people and have another experience in my running. For the most part of this run everything feel great: my feet, my knees, my legs and my breath was fine. That’s a good sign and I’m so happy.

This Training July start succesfully. Only 18 days left for my first 5k.

June 28,2013. Please Help Me with my new running shoes!!

Hi Everyone!

I’m in the hunt for new running shoes.

>>Please Comment down below with your favorite running shoes!!!!!!<<

I always used Nike, but this time I want to explore and trying something new. That may be change my performance and gave me a new experience when I’m out running.

My running shoes:

  • Nike Lunarglide 2: I used them for a few runs but now I only use them when I’m doing my workout at home or to going to a game.
  • Nike training Nike Free fit 2: My actual running shoes. I like this kind a sneakers because the fit on my feet are amazing. the only thing that worry me is that the sole is slim and when I run more than 2.00 miles my feet start to getting numb in the front part. I don’t know! If the slim sole that helps me to grab the pavement well, is affecting me for not having a good cushioning at the moment my feet impact the pavement.

What brand?

(Saucony, Mizuno, Asics (I already try them), Brooks, New Balance or Nike)
