My actual Running Essentials 2019

Hi!

In this post, I will write about my running essentials. The items I used every time I go for a run. Also, I will mention what I bring when I run with the stroller and the best company ever, and some details about the post-run. These items, I use them and want to share it because is very important to me.

I hope this post is helpful to the readers.

Running Essentials 2019

1- Hat

I used NikeCourt AeroBill Featherlight in color black. Easy to use, easy to set, lightweight, easy to clean, and perfect for airflow.

2- Sunglasses

I use the brand Goodr model NESSY’S MIDNIGHT ORGY is like aqua color. They are lightweight, don’t bounce, don’t slide, they protect your eye, something that is very important for me.

3-Headphones

I use AfterShokz Air I start using them in June 2019. Since then I never left the house without them. This headphone had a technology that sounds travel via bone conduction. I love them and when I run I can hear everything around me and still listen to music is amazing. Don’t bounce and Don’t slide. Easy to set up and charge.

4-Watch

I use Forerunner® 630 but is discontinued but I still recommend the brand so this model is very similar to Forerunner® 235.

This watch for me is key and very important it let me know the time, pace, distance. I can answer or ignore calls, I can put music and manage the volume, the days I don’t run I used it like my step counter, etc… And all the data goes to the app on my cellphone.

5-Bag

I used The Original SPIbelt is where I put my cellphone when I go in a solo run. Very comfortable, easy to adjust and use.

6-Compression Socks

I used the brand Zensah model mini crew. They give me arch support, no sweaty feet, no blisters, help with blood circulation. Also, they have a wide seamless toe box. They are very comfortable. I wash them in the washing machine on delicate and dry it on a drying rack. (Do not use the dryer, it would shrink the sock making them useless.)

Post-Run What I use:

-Water

– –Nuun electrolytes tablets  Tropical Flavor

-Foam Rolling – Gaiam Restore Muscle Therapy 18″ Foam Roller This is amazing for a stretch before and after a run. This item has helped me with the sore muscles

-GoFit Massage Polar Roller – Cold Rolling Ball

What I bring when I run with the Stroller:

-Extra water

-Snacks for my mini partner

-Toys / Leap pad

– If the weather is cold outside a blanket

Note: This post is not sponsored, any of the brands mention above are not paying me to make this post. This is not an AD. I do not receive any commission for the links provided in the post.

MY first 5k with the stroller!

Hi!

Today I wake up early with an goal in mind.

I went for a run, this time with my daughter on the stroller. Went for 2.00 miles but in the process I changed my mind and push a little bit. I ended up running my first 5k with her on the stroller; hills, the weight, the wind, etc… wasn’t a obstruction to keep me going.  I’m so happy and feel accomplish.

Other fact was that my time and pace was stupendous.

I did 3.11mi run on  [time: 39:16-pace 12:37]

Set your goal and GO FOR IT!

One mile

Hi! (short)

I want to celebrate that I finally ran 1.01mi non-stop and pain free. Yes… I’m so happy for this achivement. That injury took longer that I expected to recover but the wait worth it.

Patient is the key.

In another post I’m going to write about the stuff I did to recover.

March Totals 18′

Hi!

This month my goal was running more miles. Be more active. Drink more water, eating less sweet which I did very good; and walk more.

Let’s see if I achieved this month wishlist.

Days Active all month: 20/31

Total of miles run: 15.40mi

Total of running days: 10

1 Volleyball day  3 hours.  Post about it (Check it out Click Here)

2 Tennis practice 45min each day. Post about it  (Check it out Click Here)

1 day bowling 2 games.

7 days of workout at home around 30min-1hr.

This month was very active, I like that. I felt very compromise with me to do it. I did my best.  Hoping this motivation continue. I’m not training for a race or anything in particular. I just doing it for myself. Something that make me feel very proud that I’m choosing to be a better version of myself. I love seeing results but if you want to see it you need to do something about it.

(03-30-2018) During today’s run I did my best during the first mile but today I put in mind I was going for 2 miles so when I finally did the first mile I was tired and a little bit in pain in my lower back so I didn’t continue with the run I just walk the next mile.

During this  run I learn that sometimes you need to take it easy. You might need to walk or crawl but never stop.  (unless is something serious you know.) You just go and never quit.

Planning my next training

Hi!

I still running not the distance I want but at least is something. Right!

I want to start planning my next training schedule to achieve the distance I want to before my new goal distance event. Which is a 10k. Yes I’m so excited to this new chapter in my running journey, is something I have been think about, since my health is good and the doctor gave me the green light. This is what I’m looking forward to accomplish.

My longest run was 5.00mi years ago. It was on November 2013. I remember it was the running/walking type of run. I also remember it wasn’t plan at all. It was fantastic.

So this week my training start. I have 17 weeks to training. So I have a chart with the distance/workout I want to complete each day per week. I add some workout at home and the rest days. Everything can be modified and the chart is good to be accountable and obtain motivation.

Let’s see how it goes…!!

My Plan for February 2018

Hi!

Welcome to my 2018 Journey!

I want to write down what I want to achieve and going to do during the month of
February.

During this month I want to start with a routine and maintain it, I want to be consistent I’m good on that but if I refer of running, working out and drink water sometimes is hard for me. I always do one or two of the three. This time I want to keep up, now that I have a little more time during the day.

  • MY PLAN

  • Start Training (Running) Goal To be announce
  • +
  • Push-ups/ Sit-ups / Squats and Walk
  • +
  • Streching
  • + or –
  • No SODA
  • +
  • More WATER

I’m not going to rush anything. I just going with the flow, I know it take time to be on a routine, so I’m not going to be that hard on myself. I clearly know what I want and If I want to reach my goal I need to gave everything I have.

I’m ready to start working on the new me. WORK FOR IT!!!

What are your February goals?
