I’m Back July 2018 (update)

Hi!

It have been more than a minute since my last post here in my blog. I don’t have any excuse. I just had a lack of inspiration since I injured myself playing volleyball. My Ankle still bother me. I when recently back to the doctor and still the same swollen ligaments and effusion that’s a boomer. I can walk better now, but I can not be active like before the injury.

I lost my inspiration, I lost myself in this injury and I gain weight too. Something that I’m not proud of. Now that I feel a little bit better I might start taking walks (is the most I can do for now) also I might start doing low impact exercises so my ankle is not compromise. I have try to run twice since the injury the longest I ran was 0.51mi and my ankle remind me for almost a week that, was a bad idea.

I want to write good content but when your tool is damage is hard to write about something that is not happening. (Like play volleyball, Running, Walks, Goals).

So I’m going to try my best to find myself again so I can put that in words for my blog, my journal. That way I can start slow but for sure my personal inspiration again. This blog had help me a lot and I miss it.

So I’m back at it!

“You can do this”

“You got this”

Thanks for visiting!

June 25, 2013. Not Enough!

Hi!

Today the weather in my area during the morning was raining like crazy. In the afternoon the lovely sun came out raising the temperature. Until the night that finally got to a good temperature. So decided to run but this time at the gym because was almost 8:00pm. I start running in the treadmill. I was doing fine since the treadmill stop. I almost fell. I didn’t expect that.

When I check my phone to verify the distance I was only in 0.39mi in 3:56min. I try to start again I set the treadmill and ran for few minutes so I check my phone again and the app stay on 0.39mi but this time was 6:58min. I was like “what the hell” is happening. So I decided to run in the pavement since the treadmill and the app don’t work well together. And I want a record in my profile. So I get out of the gym and start running I was so happy because it feel so good and I run 1.07mi in 12:38min / pace 11’46″/mi.

Also when I get home I did some workout too, (5 pushups & 25 sit up ‘military style’).
This image is just for the pavement run because the treadmill run was a fail.

June 14,2013. Flag Day Run! + Disappointment

Hi!

Is nice make any excuse for a run. So I decided that I will run today because I was changing my route. I mostly run in the sidewalk but this time I change it to pavement. It was hard; the impact feels hard in the body; that makes my pace slow.

I was a little bit disappointed because my time for 2.00mi changed a by a few minutes. I was running in a slow pace that made you feel your legs are sore.

I believe that the mind is very powerful, and I say to my self in the process that I can do it. “I not going to stop running for nothing”, so I keep moving. I try to convince my self, that if I want I need to give a little bit extra.

I try to think about the different things that could change and do not help me to accomplish the run in a good time.

  • My diet on my birthday was the worst ever, I ate pizza and cake.
  • I’m not doing any other type of exercise beside running.
  • I drink coffee with regular sugar.
  • I eat red meat, bread and rice.

I know that I need to change few things to have a better performance in my running schedule.

Starting on Sunday June 16, 2013. I going to change the way I eat and on the days I do not run,I will do some type of physical exercise. I know this is going to be hard, but I can do it. I know this is going to change the way I run and going to give me the necessary resistance.

Finally the important thing here that I did it and I don’t give up.

Wednesday June 12, 2013. Birthday Run

Hi!

Today was a fun long day. I woke up early in the morning. I spent the day with my amore; we eat lunch together, then for a little shopping and the rest of the afternoon in his office. When we get home, I get ready to hit the road, that was my plan yesterday so I did it.

I run my fastest 1.00mile Finally!!!

[ 1.00mi10:29min – pace 10’32″/min – temperature 56F degrees ]
[ Also my fastest 1k – 6:34min.]

Four weeks ago was 10:56min the mile. (note: one of my goals is do the 2.00miles in 20mins) The difference is minimun but it feels so good. The difference was :27 seconds.

Next I put a photo for record also the badges I earn for the fastest mile run and for running on my birthday.

I use nike + running app for iphone.

 Thanks

Pain: In my knee in my left leg.

Plans for tomorrow: June 12, 2013. Is my birthday so I’m planning at least running a mile.
