Running and Meditation

Hi!

(Personal)

Today I going to write about running and meditation.

Why?  I have been expericience some signs of anxiety. It recently develop more since we moved to this new state where everything is new, different and very unusual for our lifestyle.

In 2014 when I had my baby I thought it was depression post partum but it when off. I started at that moment taking yoga classes and meditation, and it help me a lot to handle that issue.

Recently I started to run again since I decided that this is my moment for me, for me , and for me. So I’m thinking if I add to my life a little bit of meditation It could help. Before it work I hope this time too. I need it.

I recently decided to take this step that I have been procastinating for so long but I haven’t the courage to open about it. And now is the time. I know I’m not alone.

I have been suffering anxiety

It took me a long time to talk about this because it hard to accept that something is happening to me. In the moment that I accepted it, I felt a little free.

So I’m considerating add this practice to my routine. Do you meditate?

Today is April 2, 2017.

I ran 0.50mi This run was very peaceful and very quiet. I thank God for this run today.

Yesterday April 1, 2017.

I ran 0.50mi. This  run turns into a dark place when someone decided to be a bully and scream something that I’m not allow myself to repeat because I’m a better person. I’m a good person, that kind of person, if you need me, I will be there for you to help you stand up. I learn that if you cancel the negative, That thought goes away so that was what I did it today and that’s why my run was a succesful one.

Sorry if this is not what you want to read. This is my life and I write about my life.

This is the Diary of C.P.

Thanks for Visiting

C.P.

PS: I’m deciding if I post this or not… It’s hard to let’s others know this part of me. but I you see it is because I decide to keep it up real.

Peace and Love C.P

Gente I’m Back at Running!

Hi!

Gente means People in English! Is a expresion that is common where I’m from.

I’m so happy and excited to let you guys know that I started running again.

Where I was living is a place with high altitud and dry, it was a pain in the bom bom running because I always were out of breath. Also for a moment I was using a pump for asthma. I couldn’t run far or fast.

We just move to another state with a normal altitud and weather. So I decided to give it a try. I went to the fitness room I started to run. I decided to run 0.50 mi. At first I was like “oh my god” then I was like “oh yeah”, I miss this. I love doing this. This is the perfect state of mind. I’m so happy that I run that distance in a good pace. It wasn’t my goal pace but you need to start like a novice.

So today was the second try of running. Let me tell it went better than I expected. I ran 0.60mi in a better pace, breathing well during the process. I’m looking forward to this journey again. I’m so glad of this move. In life you need to make hard decisions and soon or later you have your reward.

HAPPY. GRATEFUL. BLESSED

Warm up RUN

Hi!

First Run of the Year

Starting from the bottom!

Today I decided to go out for a run. The weather was 33°F, it was a little colder than I was expecting but that’s what you get when you decided to run in winter. Right!

I just ran 0.50 mi. I was feeling like I was slow like a turtle, then I check my pace I was running like my normal pace but in some point I was short of breath. Then I walk a little and started running again to finish with little distance for today run. I got a little frustrated but this is just the beginning. I know that sometimes is going to be harder, the thing that matter is not quitting.

This is my year I’M NOT Giving up!

Good Luck everyone with every goal that you make for this year! Don’t give up…!

Not Running!

Hi!

I hope you started your new year 2016 with new goals.

My goal for now is run a race on June. For that to happen I need to work more in me. My body, my core and my mind. I started doing push-up Today is January 8,2016. And yesterday I did (7) seven push-up, that’s amazing for a person that never was able to do one. On January 15,2016. I’m going to start with my abdomen, by doing some sit-up military style “I prefer that way”.

I had been working on my diet, like starting from zero again. I’m trying to not eat candy. I’m trying to not drink Coke “Yep, that’s is a bad habit”. I started drink coke again in 2015. I didn’t drink coke since February 2012. I know I can do this again! I also trying to cut my portions little by little. I’m cooking more, like every meal (breakfast, lunch and dinner). I’m going to eat less outside or if I do it, I’m going to try the most healthy option on the menu.

This is more hard that I ever think. Is like baby steps.

But I’m not a quitter, so I’m going to keep doing the challenge.

You need to start from something, Right!

Let’s do this!

Yoga when your’re sick

Yoga when you’re sick

Hi Everyone!

Today is December 2, 2014.

Today here where I live was a gloomy day plus I’m sick. I started to feel a little bit sick since saturday night after the yoga class. I was super sweaty. When the class finished I went out of the building and the weather was like 28 Degrees Fahrenheit. I wasn’t prepared with the correct clothes.

On my 3rd day of sickness I just can’t handle this. Is hard trying to take care of your almost four months baby when you’re feeling sick. So I decided to move my body and my soul trying something new. Like I told before I’m beginner on yoga. So I search from my favorite yoga youtuber Adriene and I found a video for when you are sick.

It was my first time practicing yoga when I’m feeling sick. and let me tell you I used this video and it was very helpful, refreshing, peaceful and powerful. Nothing more to say.

Thanks God for be present in our lives. Thank God for my husband, for my baby girl, for my home, family, and friends.

Day#5 & Day#6 Yoga November Challenge

Day#5 & Day#6 Yoga November Challenge

Hi Everyone!

Today is November 6, 2014.

Day#5

Rest day. Like I told you before, I’m a beginner and I need some rest because I was feeling a little bit of soreness in my body. I regretted that I not did anything at all for the challenge, but in the end I felt good to have a day off.

Day#6

Was a good day for me. I woke up very early 5:44 am since then I still up. I drank a coffee to help me to stay up and function normally since I never wake up at these time. I did some house work. “House work never-ending you know“. I take care of my baby. I take advantage of one of her naps so I did my routine for this day.

I searched on youtube.com |yoga for beginners| and there I found a bunch of videos for novice people like me. I used a video from a girl named Adriene her channel is Yoga with Adriene. Also she have a web page: http://yogawithadriene.com I think the video is very informative and I felt it work for me.

Routine Duration: 15 minutes {Yoga for the lower back pain} For healing and preventive care.

Favorite pose of the day: Two-Knee Twist

Thoughts of the day: It felt so good doing this routine I absolutely love it. I recommend it if you having problem with your lower back.

How to do Two-Knee Twist pose:
Lying on your back, bend your knees into your chest and bring your arms out at a T. As you exhale lower your knees to ground on the right. Keep both shoulders pressing down firmly. If the left shoulder lifts, lower your knees further away from the right arm. Hold for 1-2 minutes each side

Fact: Listen to your body and find what feels good.

My progress and My Dares: Day#6

P: More relax

D: My Flexibility

P: Positive thought during the routine

D: Concentration

I want to invite you to start a yoga journey like me!!!

Thanks
